Add a new network to the wallet

Last updated 5 months ago

What is a blockchain network?

A blockchain network is a technical infrastructure that allows applications to access ledger and services.

Applications and Smart contract services are live in different blockchain networks. In order for the user to use a certain application, adding a certain network is needed to be done beforehand.

For example, Let's say that the FWX app is currently running on the FWX chain. Before users start to use or interact with FWX apps, they need to add the FWX chain to their wallet.

Manually add a new network before using applications

Back to your Metamask wallet, On the top right corner, Click on the 3-dots icon on the top right corner. Settings > Networks > Add network.

Landing on the Networks page

Inside the network tab, Provide network information as follows:

Label
Value

Network name

New RPC URL

Chain ID

43113

Currency symbol

AVAX

After completely filling out the form, click the "Save" button and your wallet should be ready to connect to the new network.
